The Settlers: New Allies Gets Surprise Release Date
The highly anticipated real-time strategy game, The Settlers: New Allies, has announced a surprise release date, much to the excitement of players. After experiencing an indefinite delay on consoles earlier this year (though it was launched on PC in February), fans will finally be able to get their hands on the game.
The New Settlers: New Allies Release Date
Mark your calendars for July 4th! The Settlers: New Allies will be available for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Amazon Luna players at midnight local time. Although there won’t be a native version for PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, the game should still be playable on these consoles through backward compatibility. As of now, it is uncertain whether PS4 players will have access to the Founders Pack pre-order bonus that was previously offered on PC, as the PlayStation Store pre-order page has not yet reappeared.
After a delay of just over three months, Ubisoft Düsseldorf, the game’s developer, explained that the extra time was necessary to ensure the best possible experience for players. Now that the delay is finally coming to an end, The Settlers: New Allies joins the list of 11 new PlayStation 4 games being released this week, alongside titles like The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie and GYLT.
The Settlers: New Allies is a fully-reimagined installment in the franchise, boasting updated graphics and more detailed animations. Players will have the opportunity to choose from three unique factions: the Elari, the Maru, and the Jorn. Each faction offers its own distinct play style and appearance, but the ultimate objective remains the same – gather resources, build up your economy, and develop a formidable army capable of achieving victory. Throughout the game, players will have the ability to upgrade their army to enhance their chances of success.
Prior to diving into the story-driven campaign, players will have the chance to familiarize themselves with the new game mechanics through a comprehensive tutorial. Additionally, The Settlers: New Allies will feature a variety of online multiplayer modes, supporting up to eight players. These modes will provide exciting opportunities to compete against other players or AI opponents.
