Pokémon Go’s “Lechonk’s Adventure” Timed Research
Pokémon Go players now have the chance to participate in the “Lechonk’s Adventure” Timed Research as part of the ongoing “A Paldean Adventure” event in September 2023. This research is focused on the Hog Pokémon, Lechonk, and completing it will grant players more opportunities to encounter this Pokémon. Notably, Lechonk can be shiny during its debut, increasing the chances of obtaining its pink variant. Additionally, completing the research will also earn players more candy for evolving Lechonk into its evolution, Oinkologne.
“Lechonk’s Adventure” Timed Research Rewards
To participate in the “Lechonk’s Adventure” Timed Research, players must complete the following steps before Friday, September 15:
- Catch 9 Pokémon (Lechonk encounter)
- Catch 1 Pokémon (Lechonk encounter)
- Catch 5 Pokémon (Lechonk encounter)
- Use 9 Berries to help catch Pokémon (Lechonk encounter)
- Send 9 Gifts to friends (Lechonk encounter)
The rewards for completing the Timed Research include a Lechonk encounter, 900 Stardust, and 900 XP.
Lechonk Evolution – Oinkologne
Lechonk has a single evolution called Oinkologne, which comes in two forms, male and female. To evolve Lechonk, players will need 50 Candy for each form, totaling 100 Candy to complete the entire evolution line.

Lechonk Shiny Preview
During the “A Paldean Adventure” event, Lechonk is the only new Pokémon that can be encountered in its shiny form. This shiny variant showcases a pleasing pink shade that extends throughout its evolution line.
