Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 star Yuri Lowenthal on the Dynamic Between Miles and Peter
Yuri Lowenthal, the star of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, recently discussed the relationship between Miles and Peter, comparing it to the bond between the actors portraying them.
In an interview with PlayStation LifeStyle, Lowenthal shared his experience working with Nadji Jeter, who plays Miles Morales in the Insomniac Games sequel. Lowenthal had high praise for Jeter and drew parallels between their real-life dynamic and that of the two Spider-Men. The older, more experienced Lowenthal compared himself to the seasoned superhero Peter, while Jeter, a younger actor with less experience, embodied the role of the aspiring hero Miles.
“Working with Nadji has been amazing, and I have to say, it happened very naturally between us,” Lowenthal explained. “Our off-camera and on-camera relationship just fell into place. It was like I was the older, more experienced actor – the ‘older superhero with more experience,’ and he was the younger actor – the ‘younger superhero with less experience.’ So it all happened organically. I don’t think it was intentional when we were cast, although Bryan Intihar is incredibly smart and forward-thinking. We were just lucky that we clicked.”
