The Latest Update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
The newest update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 – version 1.001.005 – has been released. This latest patch brings a host of crucial fixes aimed at enhancing players’ web-slinging adventures and improving the overall polish of the game.
Version 1.001.005, which was released on November 8, includes several smaller changes such as preventing NPCs on boats from spawning on top of each other, as well as adding some missing collision detection around the harbor. However, the patch notes also highlight a fix for an “issue where the player character could leave a mission and enter the open world resulting in corrupted saves.” This fix is sure to provide relief for players who have invested significant time in their save files.
In addition, a particularly frustrating bug that caused Peter Parker to get stuck to benches and railings has been resolved, eliminating the fear of becoming permanently attached to seats until the game is reloaded.
Multiple input-related issues have also been addressed in this update. Players should now be able to move properly after zipping to points and after picking up memory crystals. Proper jumping at all times should also now be achievable. Furthermore, the two Spider-Men should no longer be able to clip through the map mid-combat, and progress for the Hang Ten Trophy should now accurately count any flips performed.
While there are numerous other changes outlined in the full patch notes, it’s also worth noting that the update has prevented MJ from being defeated in one hit on higher difficulty settings. Additionally, it appears that the two Spider-Men can no longer intercept phone conversations meant for the other person if you switch between characters during a call. Privacy is important, especially for superheroes.
