Remedy Teases Imminent Release Date for Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus Mode
Remedy Entertainment, the developer of Control, has recently hinted at an upcoming release date for the highly-anticipated Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus mode.
The studio’s announcement on social media was surprisingly straightforward, especially for a company known for its cryptic marketing tactics.
While New Game Plus modes are a common feature in many games, Remedy has promised that this iteration will offer a unique experience for players embarking on their second playthrough.
The Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus mode will allow players to retain their unlocked upgrades and weapons, introduce a new Nightmare difficulty mode, and most notably, offer an alternative narrative with new Manuscript pages and video content.
Additionally, Sam Lake of Remedy has revealed plans for more free DLC and two paid expansions for Alan Wake 2. The first expansion, Night Springs, is set to be released in Spring 2024, followed by the second expansion, The Lake House, tentatively scheduled for 2024.
Currently, Alan Wake 2 is available in digital form on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
