Elon Musk recently took to social media to express his discomfort with a particular aspect of the popular video game series, Grand Theft Auto. Specifically, Musk mentioned his aversion to the opening scene of GTA 5, which involves shooting police officers. This criminal element of the game did not sit well with Musk, preventing him from completing the prologue of the game.
Despite the anticipation for the upcoming “GTA VI,” set in a fictional version of Miami called Vice City and slated for release in 2025, Musk’s unease with the game’s violent and crime-focused storyline persists.
It’s interesting to note that Musk’s stance on fictionalized violence stands in contrast to his recent candid remarks at the New York Times’ DealBook conference, as well as his support of controversial content on social media. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Musk has completed other video games featuring real-world crimes, such as murder, including Diablo 4, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring.
