How to Obtain Trash Cubes in Raft
If you’re looking to trade at the Trading Post in Raft, you’ll need Trash Cubes. These cubes are essential for acquiring useful items that can enhance your gaming experience.
Upon stumbling across a large tropical island and stumbling upon a Trading Post, you may find yourself lacking the necessary Trash Cubes to make any purchases.
Trash Cubes are not readily available at the beginning of the game. However, fear not, as you can start collecting them once you delve further into the gameplay.
Getting Trash Cubes in Raft
To obtain Trash Cubes in Raft, you must utilize the Recycler tool. This requires inserting raw resources into the Recycler machine, which will then produce Trash Cubes at a rate of one cube every 3 minutes, given a supply of materials with a value of at least 150.
The blueprint for the Recycler can be obtained by completing the Radio Tower story island, the initial story island in Raft.
How to Use the Recycler
To kickstart the recycling process, you need to place either a normal Battery or an Advanced Battery in the designated slot on the right side of the Recycler machine.
Since recycling can take up to 12 minutes, it is advisable to use an Advanced Battery unless Titanium is in short supply.
Supply the Recycler with any type of raw material until the total value reaches 150. While you can’t visually see this value without mods, you can gauge it by observing the pile of trash inside the Recycler container.
Once the value hits 150, and the Recycler has a charged Battery, the recycling process will automatically commence. The Recycler has a capacity of 600 material value and can produce up to 4 Trash Cubes in one cycle.
Materials Value Table
Here is a breakdown of the materials you can use to supply the Recycler, along with their respective material values:
Stone – 3 value (quantity needed: 50)
Plastic – 5 value (quantity needed: 30)
…(list continues with material names, their values, and quantities needed)
In the early stages of the game, it is recommended to focus on using Planks and Plastic to expand your raft. For instance, converting Palm Leaves into Ropes can also be a valuable strategy to generate Trash Cubes.
Rope offers double the value of a Palm Leaf, making it an efficient choice for recycling. However, keep in mind that using Rope may streamline the process, as you only need to add one item at a time to the Recycler.
As you progress to the mid-game, materials such as Sand, Giant Clam, Copper, and Copper Ingots become excellent options for producing Trash Cubes. These materials provide substantial value and have limited current utility in the game, making them ideal for recycling.
Furthermore, if you have Llamas at your disposal, Wool emerges as the best material for generating Trash Cubes in Raft. With a value of 75 per unit, only two Wool are required to create one Trash Cube.
By following these steps, you’ll be well on your way to accumulating Trash Cubes in Raft. If you have any feedback or suggestions for this guide, feel free to share them in the comments below!
