Helldivers 2 Players Experiencing Issues with Stratagems
Players of Helldivers 2 have encountered problems with a specific Stratagem causing their game to crash. Arrowhead Game Studios is actively addressing this issue, but some fans are expressing dissatisfaction with the developer’s reliance on Discord as the primary means of communication and are questioning if there are more effective ways to keep the community informed.
Why are Some Helldivers 2 Fans Unhappy?
According to a report on N4G, players of Helldivers 2 are facing crashes when attempting to utilize the FAF-14 Spear missile launcher. Queries regarding this issue were raised on Arrowhead Game Studios’ official Discord channel, where Community Manager Twinbeard provided a response. “Yeah,” Twinbeard acknowledged, “there are crashes associated with the Spear at the moment. We are investigating. It appears that the Spear is causing some troubles.”
While Twinbeard’s response itself is not problematic, it does prompt the question of why Arrowhead Game Studios did not temporarily disable the Spear. The requirement for players to visit Discord to access this information has sparked some discontent. A user named Sandwichgod expressed their frustration on Reddit, stating, “Discord should not be the primary source of news and updates for Helldivers 2.” They argue that the majority of players may not see the Discord messages and subsequently miss out on important details. Suggestions have been made for Arrowhead to share these announcements within the game itself, with one user proposing the use of a non-functional terminal for community updates.
Many Helldivers 2 players have echoed Sandwichgod’s concerns. Some have pointed out that a large portion of the player base may not even be aware of who Twinbeard is. Additionally, several users have criticized the Discord community associated with the game or the platform itself, noting that while it facilitates direct communication, it may not be the most effective for disseminating specific information.
