How to complete The Hungry Sumo Wrestler substory in Like a Dragon: Ishin
With dozens of substories available in Like a Dragon: Ishin, some of them are bound to be more important than others. The substory revolving around a hungry sumo wrestler is one of the most important ones, due to the reward at the end.
To complete The Hungry Sumo Wrestler substory in Like a Dragon: Ishin, feed him lots of food. The type of food you feed him is not especially important. He’ll accept vegetables from your garden (go ahead and give him the good stuff), bento boxes, or whatever other edible treats you offer.
The most difficult aspect of completing the substory is remembering to check back in periodically to keep things moving. The wrestler fights many matches. You must find him and feed him between each one. When you first encounter him, he’s lying in the middle of the road, famished. The location is along the side of South Teramachi Street, not quite due south from Don Quijote in Rakunai. You will reunite with your rotund friend at that place numerous times.
It is in your best interests to keep on top of the substory. You have to feed him quite a few times, but once you finish doing so, he will head off on an adventure. A little later, you will find him standing near the entrance to the barracks. Talk to him there to recruit him. He will become a member of your squad, as represented by the Soranohara card.
The hungry sumo wrestler’s ability allows him to passively restore HP, based on the number of swordsmen in the squad where you assign him. This corporal ability is ludicrously powerful (and better than any similar ability other cards provide). It grows more powerful still once you upgrade it, leaving you with little to fear from most enemies.
Like a Dragon: Ishin can be purchased on Steam and the Xbox marketplace.
