Pokemon Presents Confirmed For February 27

The Pokemon Company has confirmed that a new Pokemon Direct is on the way, and will air on February 27 at 3 AM ET / 6 AM PT. Scheduled to run for 20 minutes, the livestream will be broadcast through the official Pokemon channel on YouTube.

Beyond that, the Pokemon Company didn’t share any other details. This livestream comes shortly after the previous Nintendo Direct, and is the third consecutive Pokemon Presents special to be broadcast in February. These episodes usually contain updates on not only the latest entries in the mainline series of games–Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in this case–but usually also dive into other Pokemon projects that are in development.

August 2022’s Pokemon Presents had plenty of new details on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, while earlier episodes confirmed the existence of spin-offs such as New Pokemon Snap and Pokemon Unite. February 27 also happens to be Pokemon Day, and last week saw rumors of a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game surface, which is reportedly being handled by Spike Chunsoft once again.

As for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the latest generation of pocket monster games have had blockbuster sales on the Switch, although they have been criticized for numerous technical issues. A new patch is on the way, and is expected to go live before the end of February.
