Sons of the Forest has a few secrets for you to discover. One of these concerns Virginia, the Mutant Girl who shows up early in the campaign. Assuming you managed to befriend her, then you can get her to wear certain outfits. Here’s our guide to help you get Virginia the Mutant Girl’s Dress in Sons of the Forest.

How to get the Mutant Girl’s Dress in Sons of the Forest

To get the Virginia’s Dress or the Mutant Girl’s Dress in Sons of the Forest, you’ll have to take note of several requirements.

• Virginia must be a companion – That means you didn’t kill her, and you managed to befriend her, too.
• Rebreather – Allows you to dive, breathe, and see underwater.
• Shovel – Let’s you dig up ground to reveal hidden passageways.
• Maintenance Keycard – Once you have the Shovel, go to the green marker at the left-hand side of the mountain range (assuming you’re facing it and the coast is to the south). Unearth the hatch and climb down (seen in the image below). There’s a room here that has the Maintenance Keycard.

The next step to acquiring the Sons of the Forest Mutant Girl’s Dress or Virginia’s Dress is to head to yet another green marker. From the spot where you got the Maintenance Keycard, go a bit further south (as seen in the image below).

You’ll notice a couple of golf carts and a tunnel entrance in front of them. Enter it and climb down the ladder. Use the Maintenance Keycard to unlock the door to your right.

There are a few mutant enemies here, so watch out, and do pick up the Crossbow in the greenhouse section. Eventually, you’ll reach a corridor where you need to swim and, past that, you’ll notice a door to your left and the exit straight ahead. Go to the room to your left first to get the VIP Keycard, as well as the Shotgun Rail.

After unlocking the door with the VIP Keycard, you’ll find yourself in the grand hall, with a bunch of dead mutants that were probably just regular folks eating before disaster struck. Anyway, check the right-hand side of the chamber to find the Dress.

Now that you have the Sons of the Forest Mutant Girl’s Dress or Virginia’s Dress, return to your buddy. She may have wandered around while you were exploring. Hopefully, you gave her a GPS Tracker beforehand so you can see her icon on your map.

In any case, interact with her to show your backpack. Select the blouse and she’ll wear it, and the Swimsuit will be placed in your bag instead.
