The leaked Resident Evil 4 Remake demo is available to download now and has been called the Chainsaw Demo. It is not a timed exclusive so is available on PS5 and PS4 as well as Xbox Series X|S and PC.

What’s included in the Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Demo?

The demo is set at the start of Resident Evil 4 as Leon first enters the European village where he believes the US President’s daughter Ashley Graham is being held. Unfortunately, he gets more than he bargained for, including an intimidating enemy wielding a fairly large chainsaw. The Chainsaw Demo does not have any restrictions either, so players can take their time and run through it as many times as they like to discover all of its secrets before the game is released on March 24. Players can download the demo from the PlayStation Store right now. The demo had been previously announced at the PlayStation State of Play but its surprise release was spoiled by an earlier leak from a Twitch advert.

Capcom also revealed a new trailer for the Resident Evil Death Island horror movie that is set in between the events of Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil 7. The CGI movie features characters such as Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield, and the trailer revealed that Jill Valentine will also be joining the cast.
