3DS eShop Spotlight – escapeVektor

Who made it?

The talented independent Aussie team Nnooo made it and released it in 2012. You might know them for other hits like the DSi and WiiWare release Pop, the Spirit Hunters Inc. games, Cubemen 2 and The Legend of Kusakari.

What’s the premise?

You basically guide Vektor, who traces paths across a grid until the exit opens up. You’ve also gotta avoid enemies at the same – make contact with them and they’ll destroy you. It takes a small amount of inspiration from maze runners like Pac-Man.

Why should you play it?

It’s simple to learn but deceptively complicated. It’s also got a great retro-futuristic vibe, colourful graphics and a banging soundtrack that’ll keep you coming back for more.

How much is it?

It was $6.99, but it’s on sale until the eShop closes for just $1.99/ £1.70 / €1,99.

We’ll be back for the final day with one more 3DS or Wii U eShop recommendation as part of this ‘Countdown’ series. Let us know below if you’ve already got this in your collection and share your thoughts.
