You must gain access to the Depths to participate in these encounters. This is in reference to the cavernous expanse which exists below Hyrule as a dark reflection of the world above. With this in mind, the boss fights will feel far more creepy in the Depths, but you can essentially replay the scenarios. The alternate setting is the only real difference.

Several such bosses known to spawn in the Depths include Colgera, Marbled Gohma, Mucktorok, Queen Gibdo, and Phantom Ganon.
