Warhammer video game fans rejoice! The Warhammer Skulls Festival has once again returned, bringing a Titan-sized level of Xbox news. Hosted by Rahul Kohli, known for his voice role in the recently launched Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun game, this year’s festival unveils a week of exciting new announcements, content reveals, and world premieres for Xbox players. Furthermore, great discounts of up to 80% off on the Xbox and Windows Store are available during the event.
Big News and World Premieres
Among the many exciting reveals, Frontier Developments brings one of the biggest with Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin. It is a real-time strategy game set in the expansive Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe that lets you command up to four unique factions. Focus Entertainment and Saber also premiered an exclusive gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 game. The video showed a first look at a Tyranid horde for players. Fans can also look forward to the tabletop miniature of Titus Warhammer 40,000.
Additionally, Rahul Kohli talked about his role in the recently released retro shooter, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, while showcasing new Boltgun-inspried Xbox Design Lab controllers from Xbox. Fans can choose from preset color schemes, including an Xbox Wireless Controller in Ultramarines blue and a Sternguard Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 in white and blue.
Other announcements include Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, and new content updates for Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, as well as the free Lizardmen team for Blood Bowl 3 coming as part of the Season 1 launch in June. PC Game Pass also rolled out new content updates in games like Total War: Warhammer III and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. Total War: Warhammer III celebrated 40 years of Warhammer by introducing legendary hero Harald Hammerstorm into the game with patch 3.1. Also in this update, players can add the Chaos Dwarfs end-game for Immortal Empires. Meanwhile, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide teased their new enemy, the Chaos Spawn, in addition to new missions and challenges. Players can look forward to cosmetics and inventory view improvements as well.
Warhammer in Other Games
Warhammer 40,000 has penetrated not just Xbox’s games, but also other games like Powerwash Simulator. The game recently announced its collaboration with Games Workshop, bringing the grim dark and dirty universe of Warhammer 40,000 to the game. In addition, World of Tanks: Modern Armor highlights Warhammer 40,000 with the recently released Leman Russ tank and Warhammer 40,000 commanders.
