New on Netflix: To Leslie

Available to stream on Netflix, To Leslie is a 2022 drama film directed by Michael Morris and starring Andrea Riseborough, Andre Royo, and Owen Teague. The movie follows the story of Leslie Rowland, an alcoholic from West Texas who wins the lottery but loses everything to her addiction. With no one to turn to and nowhere to go, Leslie works hard to rebuild her life and mend estranged relationships. The film features Riseborough’s unconventional Oscar nomination campaign, which led to controversy among the awards committee.

New on Hulu: The Devil Conspiracy

The Devil Conspiracy is a horror fantasy available to stream on Hulu. Directed by Nathan Frankowski and starring Alice Orr-Ewing, Joe Doyle, and Eveline Hall, the plot revolves around a biotech company that is run by Satanists and has possession of Jesus’ DNA. Their plan is to clone Jesus and then sacrifice him to the devil. The archangel Michael is sent to Earth to stop the devil’s conspiracy and recover Jesus’ DNA. The movie is a mix of the Left Behind series and 2010 apocalyptic action film Legion.

New on Max: Magic Mike’s Last Dance and Reality

Steven Soderbergh’s third and final installment of the Magic Mike series, Magic Mike’s Last Dance is available to stream on Max. Channing Tatum returns to reprise his role as Magic Mike Lane, who is enlisted by a wealthy socialite to produce a special dance production in London. Another film available on Max is Reality, a 2023 biopic drama based on the life of Reality Winner, an American intelligence officer with the longest prison sentence for leaking unauthorized documents to the media regarding an investigation into Russian tampering in the 2016 U.S. election. The movie stars Sydney Sweeney, Marchánt Davis, and Josh Hamilton.

New on VOD: Fool’s Paradise, Book Club: The Next Chapter, Hypnotic, The Black Demon, and Monica

Several new films are available to rent for $19.99 on Amazon, Apple, and Vudu. Fool’s Paradise is a satirical comedy directed by Charlie Day and starring Charlie Day, Ken Jeong, and Kate Beckinsale. In the film, Day takes on the dual role of Sir Tom Bingsley, a method actor who refuses to leave his trailer, and a mute transient released on the streets of Los Angeles. In Book Club: The Next Chapter, Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen reprise their roles in the sequel to the 2018 romantic comedy. Hypnotic is a psychological action thriller directed by Robert Rodriguez, starring Ben Affleck, Alice Braga, and JD Pardo. The Black Demon is a sci-fi horror thriller from Adrian Grünberg, featuring Josh Lucas, Fernanda Urrejola, and Julio Cesar Cedillo. Lastly, Monica is a 2022 drama film directed by Andrea Pallaoro and starring Trace Lysette, Patricia Clarkson, and Emily Browning. The movie follows the story of Monica, a trans woman who returns home to care for her ailing mother after years of estrangement.
