Top Tier Offlaners of the Current Meta – DOTABUFF

Offlane heroes have undergone significant changes with the latest patch. What was previously dominated by static aura-carriers now has a place for high-impact tempo cores, adding an exciting new dynamic to the game. Here are some offlane heroes that are currently overperforming in the latest patch:

Legion Commander

The latest patch has made playing Legion Commander a lot easier. With her on-demand attack speed increase that can be used during the duel, the hero has become even more powerful and consistent. Previously, players lost half a second of their crucial buffs even if they played perfectly. With the new patch, they can even wait for some extra targets to come in range. The hero scales very well, comes online quickly, and dominates the lane. She’s a good choice for players who are looking for a conventional offlaner.

Dark Seer

Dark Seer is the only aura-carrier still overperforming in the offlane. He doesn’t have a straightforward disable, but he can get his team items early and reliably. Unlike other offlane aura heroes, he doesn’t need to buy extra mobility, as his Surge ability is usually good enough in the early stages of the game. He turns the enemy Net Worth and Levels against them, which makes him a strong comeback hero. In games that you’re winning, he can be aggressive enough to punish farming enemy characters and constantly push in multiple lanes.

Winter Wyvern

Winter Wyvern still makes sense as an offlane hero. The hero recently received a sizable buff to her first level damage, which coupled with her being a Universal hero, is significant for creep contesting. She’s no longer lacking in the right-click DPS department, which is essential for contesting creeps. She wants to low-commit with regular hero abilities for support pick-offs, and generally wants to get the Blink Dagger later on to start fights with a strong setup.

Windranger

The Offlane Windranger is far from being conventional, but with the Rod of Atos item, she makes an excellent hard disable hero while also staying a DPS threat. The item also gives her enough tankiness to soak up a couple of nukes if needed. Windranger in the Offlane also involves items like Diffusal Blade for even more soft crowd control and a DPS bump.
