Assassin’s Creed Mirage Will Have a Nostalgic AC1 Visual Filter

Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s Visual Filter Throws Back to 2007 Original

Ubisoft has been following through with its promise of making Assassin’s Creed Mirage more like the series’ earlier entries. To follow through with that promise, fans of the series are excited to know that Mirage will have an optional video filter that will evoke the series’ 2007 original Assassin’s Creed.

Artistic director Jean-Luc Sala confirmed in a video released by Ubisoft, that Mirage brings Assassin’s Creed back to its roots. Sala added that the visual filter will add a blue-gray tint and desaturate the image, bringing it in line with the original game’s visual style. This filter offers a nostalgic parallel with the original game’s look and feel, as the original game’s visual style was a defining characteristic that fans loved.

In addition to the video filter, Mirage’s parkour mechanics will evoke the Ezio trilogy games, and the stealth will play a more prominent role, to make the player feel more like an assassin. There will be other references and nods to the first Assassin’s Creed throughout the game, which fans are sure to love.

It is also confirmed that Mirage will be making an appearance at the Ubisoft Forward on June 12. Fans can look forward to the event where Ubisoft will display Mirage’s gameplay mechanics and possibly reveal more about the game. Also, before that, the newly revealed and controversial Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be revealed as well.
