How to Extract and Imprint Aspects in Diablo 4

Aspects are powerful enhancements that can turn epic gear into legendary in Diablo 4. These power-ups can be applied to class and slot-specific gear to imbue them with several different buffs. While most aspects in Diablo 4 can be obtained by killing bosses and finishing dungeons, some have to be removed from gear to be unlocked.

Extracting Aspects in Diablo 4

If you have found a piece of gear that you want to extract the aspect from, you must take it to the Occultist. These can be found in any big town under the symbol of three circles linked by a line. In the Occultists shop menu, select the second option from the right at the top of the menu. Drop the item you want to remove the aspect from into the top slot. You will see that the Aspect to be removed is be displayed below. Simply pay the cost of extraction. Now you have the extracted Aspect in your inventory to use elsewhere in Diablo 4.

Imprinting Aspects in Diablo 4

Imprinting requires you to have unlocked the required Aspect or to have it in your inventory before the extraction process. Once you have chosen the aspect and piece of gear you want to imprint your aspect on in Diablo 4, open up the Occultist menu again. The first option on the list will have a slot for the item you want to Imprint in; pop your gear in there. The second two options allow you to place an unlocked Aspect or an Aspect from your inventory on your gear. Choose the one you want and place it in the slot. The final slot will show you the final piece of gear. Simply pay the cost in materials and enjoy your new Legendary piece of gear in Diablo 4.

Now, you don’t have to lose the best part of a legendary gear when it no longer stands up to the demonic hoards. extracting and imprinting an aspect in Diablo 4 is an excellent way to save a powerful aspect for something better.
