How to manage a museum in Honkai Star Rail

Welcome to the Belobog’s History and Culture Museum! After undergoing extensive renovations, our beloved museum is finally ready to reopen. However, we are facing a minor setback – some crucial exhibits have been stolen. As the Trailblazer, it is your mission to find these missing displays and restore the museum to its former glory. In the Everwinter City Museum Ledger of Curiosities event in Honkai: Star Rail, you will embark on a journey to recover the stolen artifacts while managing the day-to-day operations of the museum. Although it may take some time and effort to maximize profits, we have prepared some overviews and tips to help you succeed.

Museum Management Event Overview

The event begins with a quest from Pela, who asks you to come to the museum. She shows you an empty display case that was supposed to hold a Meteor Fragment, a centerpiece of the first exhibit. Pela explains that the fragment was stolen and needs to be found and returned. Follow the quest to locate the missing fragment, and once it’s safely back in its case, Pela will ask you to speak with Eris. This marks the start of the management portion of the event.

When talking to the museum secretary, you can access the management menu, which allows you to:

  • Manage the museum
  • Check out the Ledger of Curiosities
  • Hire new staff

Let’s begin with the Ledger, as understanding museum management will take some time. In the Ledger, you can view silhouettes of the exhibits you can collect for each specific wing of the museum. Additionally, there is a page dedicated to Guest Assistants that you can recruit. Once you find the exhibit or hire the guest, you can claim some Stellar Jades. Similarly, the “hire new staff” window, accessible through the management menu, shows you which staff members are available for hire. However, keep in mind that hiring new staff requires Development Funds, which are gradually obtained as you develop the museum.

Museum Improvement

The bulk of the event takes place on the management page. Here, you can see the performance of each wing (ranked C-S), their stats, and the staff members assigned to them. You can also advance to the next business day or level up specific wings. The main objective is to gather enough RevitaScore to reach the last Management Phase, which is earned by leveling up wings, collecting exhibits, or recruiting Guest Assistants. Additional points are added at the end of each business day, depending on the level of the museum sections and the acquired rank.

To maximize your daily revenue, aim for an S rank on all open museum wings. This requires assigning the right staff members to reach the stat goals indicated by the white lines. A deficit in any stat goal will be indicated by a red bar instead of the successful yellow. The three stats to focus on are: Tour Duration, Educational Value, and Visitor Appeal. Each employee can contribute to the improvement of these stats to varying degrees, so experiment with different combinations to achieve all S-ranked sections. Rankings are determined by the number of stat goals reached: C (no goals reached), B (one goal reached), A (two goals reached), S (all goals reached).

As you progress through the event, the game will assign you various objectives, such as leveling up specific sections, completing a business day, and achieving an S rank in all available areas. Meeting these objectives will reward you with helpful items, such as exhibit clues or new employees. The event consists of five Management Phases, which serve as your progress markers. Each phase unlocks new quests and opens up new wings in the museum. Eris will guide you through the event, ensuring that you complete each part before moving forward.

Once you reach the RevitaScore goal on the final Management Phase, Prosperous Glory, you will have successfully completed the event. Don’t forget to complete any remaining quests and claim your rewards before the event ends!

Leveling Wings

Each business day rewards you with Development Funds, which can be primarily used to level up each wing of the museum. While this increases the stat requirements for the section, it also boosts your Development Fund income. Additionally, you can provide small stat boosts to each wing. However, it’s advisable to use Development Funds conservatively and only when you need one or two levels to reach your goal. Reassigning staff members is often more efficient for reaching stat goals, so strategize and experiment to find the optimal arrangement.

Collecting Exhibits

Once you receive a clue, a short quest will open up to acquire the missing exhibit. This quest may involve simply picking up the item or engaging in battles. Rest assured, the enemies won’t pose a significant challenge if your characters are well-prepared. On other occasions, you may need to visit the workshop to restore an exhibit. This will lead to a puzzle minigame where you must connect the flow from the yellow dot(s) to the red one(s). This puzzle may be familiar to you, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to solve.

Recruiting Guest Assistants

Periodically, you will receive notifications about the availability of new assistants for hire. These assistants often include playable characters, and in some cases, you may need to participate in an interview process. The quests will require you to speak with the potential assistant and accompany Pela as she interviews them for the job. These moments provide plenty of entertainment, with amusing conversations based on your choices as the Trailblazer. Some of the guest assistants offer significant stat boosts, making them valuable for achieving the coveted S rank. However, make sure to carefully consider and shuffle the rest of your staff for optimal performance.

List of Guest Assistants:

  • Pela
  • Serval
  • Natasha
  • Clara
  • Hook
  • Bronya
  • Seele
  • Sampo
  • Gepard

These guest assistants are actually the playable characters in Belobog, and as the Trailblazer, you will have the opportunity to enlist their help.

Tips and Tricks

When aiming for an S rank, explore all possible combinations within reason. If you have a combination that is almost reaching the goal, compare the stats of the assigned staff members with those available for replacement. Experiment with different combinations to find the most effective arrangement. Utilize the numbers to quickly assess their suitability and determine how much more you need to reach your goal. Alternatively, for a more precise arrangement, calculate the requirements based on the numerical values. If you are close to achieving an A rank with a small gap, leveling up the corresponding stat can help you secure an S rank. Even a B or C rank can be sufficient if the gap is manageable and you have enough Development Funds to invest. Lastly, avoid stockpiling quests, as the game will not allow you to continue managing the museum until you clear them up. The quest limit is approximately five quests, which should provide enough opportunities for progression.

We hope these tips will assist you in successfully managing the museum and recovering the stolen exhibits. Remember to have fun and make the most of your experience in Honkai: Star Rail’s Everwinter City Museum Ledger of Curiosities event!
