PG Connects Dubai: A Resounding Success in the Middle East
The first PG Connects event in Dubai surpassed all expectations, becoming our biggest debut in any new territory to date. The GameExpo Summit, held over two exceptional days, brought together over 1,300 games industry professionals from more than 60 countries, creating a platform for knowledge-sharing and networking. We want to express our sincere gratitude to all the attendees who made this event a tremendous success, and we look forward to returning next year.
Expanding into the MENA Region
As we approach our ten-year anniversary of delivering B2B event experiences for the games industry, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to bring the PG Connects experience to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, known for its rapidly growing domestic market. Following the success of PG Connects Jordan in 2022, we joined forces with Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism for our first event in the city. The venue for the summit was the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai, held as part of the larger Dubai Esports and Games Festival.
An International Gathering of Industry Experts
Among the attendees at the GameExpo Summit were top authorities from the games industry, representing leading MENA-based brands such as Global Game Jam, Nine66, Xsolla, Maysalward, Tencent, Reality+, and Super Evil Megacorp, among many others. These experts shared their wealth of knowledge and cutting-edge insights across 16 diverse topic tracks. The expo area buzzed with brands showcasing their goods and services, including pavilions representing the Pakistan, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia games industries.

Two Days of Insights and Networking
The two days of the summit were filled with expert insights, networking opportunities, and learning experiences. Over 100 industry authorities, including David Fernandez of Sandsoft Games, Kay Greuenwoldt from Nine66, and Leonid Blinov from the TikTok MENA team, shared their insights on various topics, such as trends in the MENA region, artificial intelligence, web3, esports, the metaverse, NFTs, user acquisition, and monetisation.
