Zelda: TOTK – The Long Dragon Location
The Long Dragon side adventure is part of the Investigate Thyphlo Ruins chain quest in Tears of the Kingdom. In this puzzle, players need to locate the long dragon statue and display the power of the Sage of Lightning at its tail. Finding the dragon can be challenging due to the numerous statues in the area, but don’t worry – we’ve got the perfect guide to help you out!
The long dragon statue you’re looking for is located on the eastern side of Thyphlo Ruins. Its head is facing Death Mountain, situated at the edge of the island (coordinates: 0450, 3030, 0177). Navigate along the dragon’s body to find its tail, and keep an eye out for a tired Korok searching for its friend along the way.
At the tail of the statue, you’ll discover a square platform on the ground (coordinates: 0450, 3085, 0175). Approach Riju and press the A button to activate the Sage of Lightning’s power. Once the lightning field covers the square rock, shoot an arrow to call down a lightning bolt onto the platform.
A stone slab will rise, revealing a hidden compartment with a treasure chest. Inside the chest, you’ll find three Topaz gems. Once you collect them, the side quest will be marked as complete, and you can report your progress to Kazul.
Completing the Long Dragon side adventure, along with the other three stone slate puzzles, will unlock a secret underground chamber in the Thyphlo Ruins. Inside, you’ll discover a record revealing the purpose of the location and a treasure chest containing the Dusk Claymore. This legendary weapon once belonged to the Hyrule royal family and is a prized possession in Tears of the Kingdom.
