Where to find and what to do in the Gerudo Underground Cemetery in Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Exploring the Gerudo Underground Cemetery

In the vast world of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there are numerous hidden areas within the Depths that offer unique experiences and rewards. While many locations within the Depths fall under specific categories such as abandoned mines, coliseums, and Yiga Clan bases, there are also entirely unique areas waiting to be discovered. One such location is the Gerudo Underground Cemetery, a haunting Gibdo-infested area hidden deep beneath the Gerudo Desert. This guide will provide you with information on how to reach the Gerudo Underground Cemetery and what you can accomplish there.

Location and Rewards

To access the Gerudo Underground Cemetery, you must first explore the Gerudo region on Hyrule’s surface. Within this region, you will come across the Arbiter’s Grounds, an area filled with treacherous quicksand. Overcome the challenges of the quicksand, and you will be rewarded with a shrine. Resting below the Arbiter’s Grounds in the Depths is the Gerudo Underground Cemetery. However, even without prior knowledge, you can easily find the cemetery by searching the southwest portion of the Depths map.

Upon arriving at the Gerudo Underground Cemetery, you will discover ancient tombs covered by stone slabs. Some of these tombs conceal small batches of collectibles, providing useful items for your journey. In the center of the cemetery lies a tomb holding a chest. Opening this chest will grant you a large crystallized charge, which adds 20 crystallized charges to your Energy Well upgrades. While it may not be a significant amount, it will certainly contribute to maximizing your Energy Well potential.

Aside from the rewards, the Gerudo Underground Cemetery is renowned for its Gibdos. Defeating Gibdos in this area can yield powerful arrow-enhancing items known as Gibdo Bones. This makes the cemetery an ideal location for gathering a substantial number of Gibdo Bones all at once. Its importance becomes even more apparent after completing the main Gerudo questline, as most of the Gibdos in the Gerudo Desert will disappear. However, a few can still be found in caves and the final area below Hyrule Castle, albeit sparsely. Thus, the Gerudo Underground Cemetery remains the most dependable location for farming Gibdo materials post-Lightning Temple in Tears of the Kingdom. Don’t miss the opportunity to boost the effectiveness of your arrows!
