Super Famicom Horror Classic Clock Tower Is Officially Coming To The West

Classic Horror Game ‘Clock Tower’ Arrives on Nintendo Switch

Fans of horror games will surely be familiar with the popular series Clock Tower, which has long been exclusive to PlayStation consoles. The first game in the series to be released in the West was on the original PlayStation, but it all began on the Super Famicom in Japan back in 1995. The original Clock Tower never officially made its way to Western markets, making it a source of curiosity for many. However, Limited Run Games has exciting news for fans as they recently announced a collaboration with WayForward and Sunsoft to bring this beloved thriller to the Nintendo Switch.

The upcoming release of Clock Tower on Nintendo Switch will feature an enhanced version of the original sprite-based, point-and-click horror adventure. For the first time, the game will be officially translated into English, and it will include a new animated opening created by WayForward, as well as motion comic cutscenes at the beginning and end of the game. Additionally, fans can look forward to a new vocal theme song performed by Mary McGlynn, known for her work on the Silent Hill series.

The release date for Clock Tower on Nintendo Switch is set for early 2024. While the price has yet to be determined, Limited Run Games has confirmed that both digital and physical versions of the game are in development.
