Henry Cavill’s The Witcher exit draws nearer with new Season 3 Vol. 2 trailer

Netflix’s The Witcher adaptation is coming to an end with Henry Cavill’s departure in Season 3 Volume 2, as revealed in the recently released trailer. The season kicked off with five episodes in June and will conclude with the release of three more episodes on July 27th. The new trailer promises plenty of special effects, intense emotions, and action-packed scenes, although it also includes Jaskier’s questionable haircut and even a unicorn.

The trailer doesn’t provide much insight into how Cavill’s departure will be handled, leaving fans with speculations ranging from a simple transition to Liam Hemsworth taking over the role in Season 4, to a dramatic alternate-reality Geralt regeneration. The only clue given by The Witcher team is that the transition will be “meta” and tied to concepts from the books. However, the trailer does conclude with Geralt’s ominous words, “There’s no coming back from this”, hinting at a significant event in his character’s journey.

Prepare for the bittersweet farewell to Cavill’s Geralt and the continued dismay at Jaskier’s Season 3 hairstyle when The Witcher Season 3 Volume 2 premieres on July 27th.
