What are Legion Events in Diablo 4?
Legion Events in Diablo 4, also known as The Gathering Legions events, are timed activities that offer various rewards for earning sufficient Mastery. Similar to Helltides or World Bosses, Legion events spawn regularly, allowing players to obtain rewards based on drop rates. While these events can be tackled solo, it is easier to deal with hordes of monsters with a party. After completing the campaign, Gathering Legions events become crucial for the endgame due to their potential rewards. In this guide, we will explain what Gathering Legion events are in D4, including how often they spawn and where to find them across Sanctuary.
What is a Legion Event in Diablo 4?
The objective of Legion events in D4 is to defeat all the Servants of Hell and spawn an Overlord boss. Each Legion round consists of three Servants of Hells that spawn. To spawn them, players must kill enough of their minions within the given time limit indicated by an hourglass. While it is not necessary to defeat Servants of Hell to spawn the Overlord, players must at least defeat the first wave of enemies. As players progress, there will be multiple objectives within each round. When a Servant of Hell spawns, a timer starts, and players can earn Mastery bonuses by defeating hordes and mini-bosses. Once the timer runs out, the Overlord boss will spawn along with additional enemies. Players must defeat the Overlord boss to complete a Legion event. However, for those seeking Mastery bonuses and drops, defeating more Servants of Hell mini-bosses is recommended.
