In response to recent reports, Ubisoft has released an official statement regarding the cancellation of Immortals Fenyx Rising 2. While the developer did not explicitly confirm the cancellation, their statement strongly suggests that the sequel will not be moving forward.

According to a statement provided to VGC, Ubisoft acknowledged internal restructuring within their Quebec studio, specifically shifting resources to focus on key projects. While the nature of these projects has not been disclosed, Ubisoft’s mention of “biggest brands” implies a shift towards more profitable endeavors. While Immortals Fenyx Rising gained attention for its similarities to The Legend of Zelda, its sales performance did not meet expectations.
