Microsoft Launches New Home Dashboard for Xbox Series X/S and One Consoles

Microsoft has officially released its new Home dashboard for all users of Xbox Series X/S and One consoles. This redesigned dashboard, which has been in use by Xbox Insiders for several months, is now being made available to the wider Xbox community. The new design aims to enhance the gaming experience by making the discovery of new games and the reconnection with old favorites easier.

In a recent blog update, Xbox outlined the following benefits of the new dashboard:

  1. Makes it easy to access your Library, Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, Search, and Settings with a quick access menu placed at the top of the Home screen.
  2. Creates more space for personalized backgrounds by simplifying the layout and moving recently played games, content, and apps to the bottom of the screen.
  3. Introduces the option to change your background to match the game you are highlighting in the recently played list.
  4. Improves game discovery through curated and personalized lists of games.
  5. Allows customization by pinning favorite games, curated groups, and system groups like Quick Resume to the Home screen.
  6. Provides updates on your community through the updated Friends & Community Updates row.
  7. Displays available media apps and entertainment content through the Watch & Listen spotlight and list of entertainment apps.
