Overwatch 2 Season 6 Trailer Introduces New Hero, Maps, Skins

The highly anticipated sixth season of Overwatch 2 is just around the corner, and fans are in for a treat with the latest trailer released by Blizzard Entertainment. Overwatch 2 Season 6 brings a variety of exciting new features, including controversial story missions, a new hero, a battle pass, a single-player mode, and more.

Introducing New Hero Illari in Overwatch 2 Season 6

One of the biggest highlights of this season is the introduction of a new hero named Illari. This hero has generated significant buzz, particularly due to leaked information suggesting she hails from Peru. While Blizzard has not released detailed information about her abilities, the trailer showcases healing turrets, a potentially powerful super jump that knocks enemies back, and an explosive rocket as her ultimate.

A recent leak supports these findings, adding further excitement to the upcoming season.

Additional Features in Overwatch 2 Season 6

In addition to the new hero, there are several other notable features in this season. Hero Mastery missions offer training exercises for each hero, allowing players to enhance their skills. The trailer provides a glimpse of Reinhardt undergoing a trial to test his shielding abilities. While Blizzard did not reveal much about player progression, it is expected to bring fresh elements to the game.

The trailer also showcases new skins, including Omnic-style costumes, which will be available in the store and the battle pass. The exact distribution of these skins is currently unknown.

New Maps, Modes, and Exciting Events

Aside from the hero and additional features, Overwatch 2 Season 6 also introduces new maps, modes, and events. Flashpoint, a captivating game mode, challenges players to capture randomized control points. Suravasa and New Junk City are the two new maps, set in India and Australia, respectively.

Furthermore, limited-time events will be sprinkled throughout the season. Starting on September 19, the Battle for Olympus, Starwatch, and Questwatch events will replay on a weekly basis. Additionally, there will be a co-op event called Underworld, an event celebrating Illari’s launch, and another event centered around Hero Mastery missions.
