Mediterranea Inferno, the upcoming summer adventure developed by Lorenzo Redaelli, the creator of The Milky Way Prince – Vampire star, is set to release on Steam on August 24th.

Published by the esteemed Santa Ragione (known for Saturnalia and MirrorMoon EP), Mediterranea Inferno follows the story of three young men in their early 20s who come together for a sensual summer getaway in southern Italy after being separated during the COVID pandemic. Their aim is to revive their friendship and reconnect.

According to the Steam page description of Mediterranea Inferno, you’ll have the freedom to choose between activities such as lazing by the pool, enjoying a passionate night at the club, or even taking a haunting trip to the local cemetery. However, wherever you go, something or someone will be waiting, offering a forbidden journey through the mysterious depths of the mind.

As you guide the characters through their daily activities, you’ll uncover their deepest fears, obsessions, and their thirst for revenge and retribution as their failed expectations become apparent.

Similar to Redaelli’s previous title, the critically acclaimed Milky Way Prince, Mediterranea Inferno presents a mesmerizing blend of stunning 2D artwork and immersive 3D environments. This visual-novel-style experience is described as a “generational story that is as touching as it is disturbing.” Given the intense themes explored in Redaelli’s previous work, which fearlessly examined dysfunctional love, psychological abuse, and borderline personality disorder, it’s advisable to take the extensive content warnings of Mediterranea Inferno seriously.

Mediterranea Inferno promises multiple possible endings within its 3-4 hour gameplay duration. It will be available for purchase on Steam starting August 24th.
