Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge Expansion Gets Release Date and New Playable Character
The highly anticipated DLC for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, called Dimension Shellshock, finally has a release date. Fans can expect the expansion to arrive on August 31 for $7.99, and the latest trailer unveils the addition of a beloved character, Karai.
Karai: A Noteworthy Addition
Joining the Turtles’ adventures, Karai is a popular character from the TMNT universe. She made her debut in the TMNT comics back in 1992 and has since become a staple in various animated adaptations. While traditionally depicted as Shredder’s second-in-command, she has also been portrayed as his adopted daughter in different versions of the Turtles’ lore, notably in the acclaimed 2003 animated series. Despite her affiliation with the Foot Clan, Karai has occasionally allied herself with the Turtles against shared enemies.
More Features to Look Forward To
Dimension Shellshock not only introduces Karai but also includes Usagi Yojimbo as another playable character. Additionally, players can immerse themselves in a new survival mode. The latest trailer provides a glimpse of the expansion’s exciting new filters, one of which presents a captivating black-and-white comic-panel style inspired by the original TMNT books. Furthermore, the DLC introduces fresh music composed by Tee Lopes and alternative color schemes for each character.
