How to Reach Other Side of Oubliette in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)

Exploring the Secret Underground Area in Baldur’s Gate 3

While venturing through the Moonrise Towers in Baldur’s Gate 3, you may stumble upon a hidden underground region known as Oubliette. This area is already filled with mystery and surprises, but you might also notice a restricted section on the northern side of the map. If you’re curious about how to reach the other side of Oubliette, you’re in the right place. We’ll provide you with the location of the entrance!

How to Enter the Mind Flayer Colony

You can access the other side of Oubliette by advancing through the main story and defeating Ketheric on the rooftop of the Moonrise Towers. Although Ketheric is no longer immortal, he is still a formidable fighter who won’t go down easily. When he’s on the brink of defeat, Ketheric summons a Nautiloid’s tentacle that breaks one of the towers.

The resulting hole serves as the entrance to the Mind Flayer Colony. Inside, you’ll encounter intriguing NPCs, puzzles, and quests. Additionally, you have the opportunity to rescue three individuals from dire fates: Mizora, Zevlor, and Us.

If you’re playing as The Dark Urge, you’ll also uncover information about your own hazy past and come across another Bhaalspawn named Orin. On the lowest floor of the Mind Flayer Colony, you’ll encounter her, Gortash, and Ketheric as they discuss their plans to attack Baldur’s Gate.

Before facing Ketheric in BG3, it’s recommended to visit the Necrotic Library and solve the Brain Link puzzle. Apart from learning about the fallen Illithid Empire from the damaged mural, you’ll also obtain a rare weapon known as the Blade of the Oppressed Souls.
