The Latest Command & Conquer Game “Legions” is Coming Soon to Mobile

The highly anticipated mobile game from Marvel Snap publisher Level Infinite is set to launch by the end of 2023 on iOS and Android. Command & Conquer: Legions is the latest addition to the popular Command & Conquer franchise developed by EA.

Conquering the Mobile Space

Unlike its predecessor Command & Conquer: Rivals, released in 2018 with a cartoony art style, Legions takes a more realistic approach in terms of art direction. The game is designed with a special focus on how mobile gamers prefer to play, with shorter gaming sessions and streamlined controls.

In Legions, players will engage in real-time PVE and PVP battles as they strive to collect Tiberium, a valuable resource. The game features returning characters and allows battles to take place on a globally shared large map, providing opportunities for players to form alliances with each other.

A closed beta for Legions is scheduled to start at the end of August in several countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Mexico, New Zealand, and the Philippines. The global launch of the game will follow in the coming months.

“Legions is specifically designed for mobile platforms and mobile gamers, taking into account the way people play on their devices with shorter, faster gaming sessions and simplified controls,” said Anthony Crouts, Senior Director at Level Infinite. “The strategic gameplay of Legions offers a new type of gaming experience while incorporating familiar units, heroes, and elements from previous Command & Conquer games.”

Level Infinite is known for its successful partnerships, having collaborated with Nuverse and Marvel on the popular Marvel Snap game. Currently, they are also co-developing a mobile-exclusive Assassin’s Creed game with Ubisoft, bringing historical gameplay to a Qin dynasty China setting.
