Video game peripheral manufacturer PDP has unveiled a new collection of officially licensed Nintendo Switch controllers featuring Sonic the Hedgehog themes. These controllers come with a “collectible figurine inside the grip”.

Part of the “REALMz” accessory line, which also includes headsets, PDP describes this latest creation on their official website:

“REALMz takes the worlds of your favorite games and transports them into a controller or headset. You can collect, display, and play with these eye-catching gaming accessories and explore the stories built inside each one.”

In addition to Sonic, the collection also offers Tails and Knuckles controllers. Switch enthusiasts can choose between wired ($39.99 USD) and wireless ($59.99 USD) versions of the REALMz controller, all of which feature customizable LED lighting. Pre-orders are currently available.

Furthermore, PDP plans to expand this line to include other series, with a Pikmin-themed controller set to release this winter. Check out the preview below:

While these third-party controllers offer additional features such as an audio jack, it’s important to note that they may lack certain functionalities found in first-party Nintendo Switch Pro controllers.
