Warframe Developer Aims to Implement Cross-Platform Saves in 2023
Following the introduction of cross-platform play in December last year, Digital Extremes, the developer of Warframe, has revealed plans for cross-platform saves. During the Tennocon 2023 event, it was announced that the team is working towards delivering this highly requested feature to all platforms this year. A specific release date will be announced in the upcoming months. Here’s what you can expect:
“This feature will allow you to access your account on every platform — taking your Mastery Rank, Focus, Rewards, Equipment, and more wherever you want to play!”
In addition to the cross-platform saves, Tennocon 2023 brought other exciting updates and announcements to celebrate Warframe’s 10th anniversary. Here’s what was shared during the event:
Heirloom Collections (Available Now): To commemorate the game’s 10-year milestone, limited edition Heirloom Collections have been released. These collections include unique skins for Frost and Mag, designed by Warframe’s original Art Director, Mynki. The Signa, a brand new customization class, is also part of the collections.
Whispers in the Walls (Winter 2023): This is the beginning of a new narrative arc in Warframe. It will provide players with answers to long-standing questions since the game’s inception through an epic cinematic storyline.
Abyss of Dagath (October 2023): Dagath, the 54th Warframe, will be introduced as part of the Abyss of Dagath seasonal update. Players can expect a new weapon, seasonal content, and quality of life improvements.
Warframe: 1999 (2024): In a major update planned for 2024, players will be taken back to the beginning with classic Warframe hack and slash action. The update will also feature a licensed track from Nine Inch Nails and reveal more about the character Arthur in Excalibur’s suit.
Warframe Mobile (2024): The high-quality experience known to console and PC players will be available on mobile devices in 2024. Preorders for the iOS version will be open today.
