Genshin Impact Co-Op Exploit Creates Havoc for Players
Ever since its release, Genshin Impact has been plagued with bug exploits and new hacks. The latest hack, known as the ‘Kaveh Hack,’ involves the four-star Dendro character Kaveh and a third-party plug-in, and has been causing chaos in the Genshin Impact online community.
According to reports on the official Genshin Impact forums, the exploit allows players to permanently delete important objects from other players’ in-game worlds using the Co-Op system. This has caused frustration among the affected players who have lost valuable items.
The Discovery and Impact of the Kaveh Hack
The ‘Kaveh Hack’ was first brought to attention by Chinese gamers who reported the disappearance of items such as Statues of the Seven and Elemental Totems. These objects were irretrievable, and even restarting the game or switching platforms did not solve the problem. One Reddit user, u/AntonioS3, expressed their concerns, stating, “his world/account has been bricked and unable to get 100%.”
To address the issue, the official Genshin Impact Discord server moderators warned players to avoid using the game’s Co-Op feature with unknown players until a solution was found.
Developer Takes Swift Action to Fix the Hack
HoYoverse, the developer of Genshin Impact, is known for its prompt response to hacking and exploits. In this case, they wasted no time and released a new patch to address the hack and mitigate the damage caused.
In a statement on Twitter, HoYoverse confirmed that they had fixed the issues and restored affected accounts. They also warned that accounts using these plug-ins would be banned and legal action would be taken against the developers, users, and disseminators of such plug-ins.
