Nintendo’s amiibo line is seeing a packaging update for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate series. Recent photos shared by a member of the Famiboards forum reveal the new look, which has garnered attention due to the absence of any mention of the Switch or other compatible platforms.
Compared to the previous packaging, which featured information about the game and all compatible platforms, the new packaging simply mentions that amiibo can be used with “compatible software.” Speculation has arisen about whether Nintendo is “future proofing” its amiibo line, considering the discontinuation of the 3DS and Wii U.
It is important to note that there has been no official confirmation of this packaging update. However, if any new information emerges, we will keep you informed. What are your thoughts on this change? Share in the comments below!
