Exciting news for fans of Mortal Kombat 1‘s Premium Edition! If you’ve already pre-ordered the game, you’ll be pleased to know that you’ll have a head start of five extra days to practice before the official release on September 19, 2023. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
The exclusive early-access period will begin at 10am PDT (1pm ET / 6pm UK time) on September 14 for those who have purchased the Premium Edition. This news confirms what was previously rumored, as updates to the game’s online store listings on Steam and Xbox have revealed the early access option.
Thethiny, a modder and reverse engineer for Mortal Kombat 1, shared this exciting development on X/Twitter. In the past, there were only rumors and word from customer service reps regarding the early access period. Now, Steam and Xbox have officially announced the five-day early access for the Premium Edition.

In addition to the early access news, Thethiny also discovered that the in-game currency for Mortal Kombat 1 will be called Dragon Krystals. These Krystals can be used to purchase cosmetic features such as skins, palettes, gear, and more for your fighter.
