Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Arrives on PlayStation 5 in 2024
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the highly-anticipated sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake, is set to be released on PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. This announcement follows Square Enix’s reveal during Summer Game Fest in June, where they mentioned that Rebirth would come on two discs and launch in early 2024.
During today’s State of Play event, Square Enix and PlayStation premiered an expansive trailer for Rebirth, showcasing new characters like Cait Sith and Vincent Valentine, as well as exciting features such as The Gold Saucer and mini-games inspired by the original Final Fantasy VII. The trailer also gave us a glimpse of the game’s open world exploration, including the ability to travel on chocobos, vehicles, and even segways.
