Foamstars Open Beta Test Coming Soon
Foamstars, the upcoming 4v4 party shooter developed by Square Enix, is set to hold an open beta test at the end of this month. This free-to-play family shooter will give players a chance to experience the game before its official release next year.
Beta Availability
The beta will be available starting at 2am UK time on Saturday, September 30th (6pm PDT on Friday, September 29th). It will run until 5.59am UK time on Monday, October 2nd (11.59pm PDT on Sunday, October 1st). It’s important to note that while the game is set to release on both PS4 and PS5, the beta will only be available on the PS5 for now.
Playable Characters and Game Modes
The beta will feature several playable characters, including Soa, ΔGITO, Tonix, Jet Justice, Mel T, The Baristador, Rave Breaker, and Pen Gwyn. Players will have the opportunity to engage in two exciting game modes: Smash The Star and Happy Bath Survival.
In Smash The Star, teams will battle it out to secure seven knockouts on the opposing team and defeat the opponent’s Star Player. On the other hand, Happy Bath Survival is a battle between two teams, each composed of two infield players and two outfield players. Victory in this mode is earned by defeating both opponent infield players while outfield players provide support and defense for their teammates.
Exclusive Cosmetic Item
Players who participate in the beta will receive an exclusive cosmetic item for the character Soa as a thank you gesture. This item can be unlocked by downloading the full game when it releases in the future. The beta can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store, and a PlayStation Plus subscription is not required to participate.
Immerse Yourself in Bath Vegas
Foamstars takes players on an exciting journey to Bath Vegas, a vibrant and bubbly metropolis that serves as the backdrop for the world’s biggest foam party. Get ready for the ultimate online shooter experience as you engage in frantic battles with teams of up to 4 players using foam!
Test Server Capabilities
While exploring the beta, players will also have the opportunity to test the capabilities of the game’s servers. This will help Square Enix fine-tune the online experience for the game’s upcoming launch in 2024.
