New PS5 owners based in the U.S. can redeem a free first-party game – here’s how

Sony is currently providing an exciting opportunity for PS5 owners in the U.S. to claim one of 12 first-party releases on the console completely free of charge. This offer is exclusive to PSN account holders who are 18 years old or older and will be available until October 20, 2023. If you have recently purchased or activated a new console, it’s worth checking your eligibility for this fantastic deal.

To redeem your free game, simply visit the PS5 store after activating your new console. Look out for a banner that indicates your eligibility to redeem a title. By selecting this banner, you will be directed to a dedicated section within the store where you can explore the available titles. Choose your preferred game and proceed to download it, adding it to your library at no cost.
