Alien Hominid, the beloved Newgrounds run-and-gun title that also made its way to GameCube in 2004, is making a comeback! Developer The Behemoth has taken to Twitter to confirm that Alien Hominid HD, an HD remaster of the original game, and a sequel called Alien Hominid Invasion will be launching on the Nintendo Switch on November 1st, 2023.
After a long wait, fans of the cult classic can finally rejoice. Alien Hominid Invasion was announced back in 2020, while the HD remaster was recently unveiled earlier this year. The Behemoth has been keeping the excitement alive by sharing regular updates and gameplay videos of Invasion, and soon players will have the chance to experience it themselves. Both titles will be available for purchase on the same day, allowing players to choose their preferred console to play on.
Alien Hominid HD is a faithful port of the original game that debuted on Newgrounds in 2002, which means it’s 21 years old now! The HD remaster offers three difficulty options, improved visuals, and local co-op gameplay.
As for Alien Hominid Invasion, players will have the freedom to play the game their own way. It provides a non-linear experience, allowing players to choose where to go and which neighborhoods to invade. Additionally, players can customize their alien character, resulting in an adorably chaotic adventure.

While the prices for the Switch version have not been confirmed yet, The Behemoth has confirmed that both games will be available for individual purchase or as a bundle on Steam, hopefully offering the same options for Switch users.
