New Updates and Exciting Features Coming to Minecraft Legends

Minecraft Legends has taken us on incredible adventures, allowing us to fight alongside creepers, save the Overworld, and even pet llamas. But the journey is far from over. Principal design director joined us at Minecraft Live to share the remarkable progress of Minecraft Legends and give us a glimpse of what’s to come.

In the first major update, released in August, we introduced significant changes and additions to the game. Players were treated to custom campaigns and PvP, world waypoints, an enhanced Banner View, improved pathfinding, and the highly anticipated feature of petting animals. To keep heroes engaged, we also released free monthly challenges called Lost Legends. These challenges ranged from battling waves of piglins to playing as a llama.

Craig, the principal design director, also revealed some exciting new features that will be a part of Minecraft Legends’ second major update. This update promises to be the biggest one yet. In an exciting twist, heroes will soon be able to ride into battle on the fearless frog, a brave mount that can swim faster and jump higher than any other steed. Additionally, players will have a new ally in the fight against the piglins – the mysterious witches. These magical beings will use their potions to aid heroes in their quests. And speaking of piglins, these mischievous creatures have a few surprises in store as well. Prepare to encounter the clanger, a loud and unsettlingly long piglin, along with the air chopper, a piglin structure that will push your units back with gusts of spore-filled air. Brace yourself for some delightfully gross encounters!

Exciting updates are just around the corner. Keep an eye out for the upcoming Lost Legends in mid-November and early December, and get ready to dive into the new update later this year!
