Upcoming Xbox Update Preview for Omega Ring Insiders

Hello, Xbox Insiders! We are excited to announce that a new Xbox Update Preview is on its way to the Omega ring. While the noticeable changes to the UI may be minimal, it’s crucial to remember that these preview OS builds include important background improvements to ensure a high-quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

System Update Details:

  • OS version released: XB_FLT_2310ZN25398.2538.231018-2200
  • Available: 6:30 p.m. PT – October 19, 2023
  • Mandatory: 6:30 p.m. PT – October 20, 2023

Note: It’s important to know that this update may not occur automatically before it becomes mandatory. You can always find the most current update as soon as it’s available by opening the Guide > Profile & system > Settings > System > Updates.

Remember: Although newly enrolled users in this ring are not guaranteed to receive all early updates, they will receive the update prior to the GA release. Additionally, a small subset of users may remain on their current GA build until the next system update becomes mandatory for the public. For more information, visit the Xbox Insider Program FAQ.

Fixes Implemented

Thanks to the hard work of Xbox engineers, we are pleased to announce the following fixes have been implemented for this build:

My Games & Apps

  • Fixed an issue where some users were unable to install games as expected from the game management page.

System

  • Various stability and performance fixes.

Known Issues

We understand that there have been some issues listed in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes. Rest assured, these items are not being ignored, but it may take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audio

  • We have received reports of users experiencing intermittent issues with audio across the dashboard, games, and apps. If you have encountered these issues, please ensure that you have the latest firmware updates for your TV and other equipment. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Keyboard Button Mapping for Xbox Controllers

  • If you change your keyboard language settings while the Xbox Accessories app is open, the change will be reflected after quitting the app or rebooting your console.

Networking

  • We are currently investigating reports of an issue where the console may not connect to the network as expected on boot. If you experience this problem, be sure to report it via Report a Problem as soon as possible.

Be sure to use Report a Problem to keep us informed of any issues you encounter. While we may not be able to respond to everyone individually, the data we gather from your reports is crucial in finding a resolution.
