Motive Studio’s Single-Player Iron Man Game Being Developed In Unreal Engine 5

Motive Studio Reveals New Details about Upcoming Iron Man Game in Unreal Engine 5

In September of last year, Electronic Arts’ Motive Studio announced their collaboration with Marvel to develop a single-player Iron Man game. In a recent studio update, Motive general manager Patrick Klaus shared exciting new information about the project, including the fact that the game will be built using Unreal Engine 5.

After recently releasing the Dead Space remake, the studio has now shifted its focus to the Iron Man game. Klaus mentions that they are still in the early pre-production phase, taking their time to establish a strong foundation for development. Despite this, the team is already discovering numerous opportunities to explore the story, design, and gameplay of the Iron Man game.

Similar to the approach taken with the Dead Space remake, Motive has formed a Community Council consisting of Marvel and Iron Man fans. This council will provide feedback on various aspects of the game’s development. Klaus emphasizes that the decision to use Unreal Engine 5 was made to empower the development team and enable them to create something truly special.

Notable games developed with Unreal Engine 5 include Lords of the Fallen, EA’s Immortals of Aveum, and Epic’s popular title Fortnite.

In other news from the studio update, Klaus mentions that team members have begun returning to the Motive studio in Montreal, Canada. He describes the current period as one of evolution that leads to elevation. The studio remains committed to learning and teamwork, constantly striving to raise the bar in their practices.

Klaus expresses gratitude towards EA, Marvel Games, and the players for their trust and support. He concludes by stating that the studio is highly focused and motivated to deliver an exceptional gaming experience.
