If you take a look at the minimum PC specifications, you’ll notice that even they require a powerful GPU like the GeForce RXT 2060, and that will only get you a 1080p/30FPS in-game experience. If you’re aiming for a breathtaking 4K/60FPS experience, you’ll need one of the most high-end GPUs available, especially if you want to utilize ray-tracing. It’s worth noting that regardless of where your PC falls in the specification lineup, Alan Wake 2 requires an SSD for storage.
Console Specifications
On the console side of things, both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will support a 4K mode at 30FPS, as well as a Performance mode that boosts the game to 60FPS. Unfortunately, the Performance mode will not be available on the Xbox Series S.
Release Date
The highly anticipated Alan Wake 2 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC starting October 27.
