Xbox Insider Release Notes – Alpha (2311.231026-2200)

Hey Xbox Insiders! We have an exciting Xbox Update Preview coming your way. This update includes various background improvements that will enhance the quality and stability of Xbox consoles.

We’re sharing these release notes with you, even if there aren’t any major changes to the UI, so you’re always informed about updates to your device. Check out the details below!

System Update Details:

  • OS version released: XB_FLT_2311ZN25398.2851.231026-2200
  • Available: 2 p.m. PT – October 30, 2023
  • Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – October 31, 2023

Fixes Implemented

Thanks to the hard work of our Xbox engineers, we’re pleased to announce that the following fixes have been implemented in this build:

System

  • Various updates have been made to ensure accurate translation of local languages throughout the console.
    • Note: Xbox Preview users may notice some “odd” text on the console. For more information, please visit the provided link.

Known Issues

We understand that there are ongoing issues mentioned in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes. Rest assured, our Xbox engineers are actively working on finding solutions, but it may take some time.

Audio

  • We have received reports of intermittent audio issues across the dashboard, games, and apps. If you’re experiencing these issues, make sure you have the latest firmware updates for your TV and other equipment. If you’re unsure, reach out to the manufacturer for assistance.
    • Note: If you continue to experience audio issues after updating the firmware, please provide feedback via “Report a Problem” with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option. Select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Include as much information as possible:
      • When did the issue start?
      • Did you lose audio in the game/app only or system audio as well?
      • Does changing the audio format resolve the issue? If yes, what was the format before and after?
      • Does rebooting the system resolve the issue?
      • What equipment and setup do you have?
      • Any additional information you can provide to help reproduce the problem.

Networking

  • We are currently investigating reports of connectivity issues upon booting the console. If you encounter this problem, please report it immediately via “Report a Problem”.

Remember to use “Report a Problem” to keep us informed of any issues you encounter. While we may not be able to respond to everyone, the data we collect is crucial for finding solutions.
