Xbox Update Preview for Alpha Ring Insiders
Attention Xbox Insiders! We have an exciting new Xbox Update Preview coming your way if you’re part of the Alpha ring. This update includes several background improvements that will enhance the overall quality and stability of your Xbox console.
Even if the changes to the UI may not be noticeable, we always make it a point to share these release notes with you so that you’re informed about the updates coming to your device. Check out the details below!
System Update Details:
- OS version released: XB_FLT_2311ZN25398.2870.231031-2200
- Available: 2 p.m. PT – November 3, 2023
- Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – November 4, 2023
Fixes Implemented
System
- Various updates to properly reflect local languages across the console.
- Note: Users participating in Preview may see “odd” text across the console, for more information go here.
Known Issues
We understand that there have been some issues listed in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes. Rest assured, we are actively working to find a solution, but it may take some time.
Audio
- We have received reports of users experiencing occasional audio issues across the dashboard, games, and apps. If you’ve encountered these issues, make sure you have the latest firmware updates for your TV and other equipment. If you’re not sure, reach out to the manufacturer for assistance.
- Note: If you’re still experiencing issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via “Report a Problem” immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option. Then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Provide as much information as possible:
- When did the issue start?
- Did you lose audio only in the game/app or system audio as well?
- Does changing the audio format resolve the issue? If yes, what was the format before and after?
- Does rebooting resolve the issue?
- What does your setup include? Equipment, layout, etc.
- Any additional information you can provide to reproduce the problem.
- Note: If you’re still experiencing issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via “Report a Problem” immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option. Then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Provide as much information as possible:
Networking
- We are currently investigating reports of a network connectivity issue where the console may not connect as expected upon boot. If you experience this problem, please report it via “Report a Problem” as soon as possible.
Make sure to use “Report a problem” to keep us informed of any issues you encounter. While we may not be able to respond to everyone, the data we gather is crucial in finding a resolution.
