Baldur’s Gate 3’s latest hotfix stops characters’ faces from transforming into ‘stretched eldritch horrors’

Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix 15 Addresses Character Distortion Bug

Exciting news for Baldur’s Gate 3 players – the latest hotfix, Hotfix 15, is now live and it brings relief to players who were experiencing character facial distortion issues during cinematics.

The patch notes from Larian Studios referred to the bug as “the Pinocchio issue,” acknowledging the stretched and distorted faces of characters, including disappearing eyeballs. The fix is welcomed by many players who found the visual glitches unsettling.

Hotfix 15 also addresses various crashes, including those related to Honor Mode, level changes, and autosaves. The patch also brings Japanese language support to both PC and PlayStation 5 versions in Japan, with plans to extend support to other platforms like Xbox Series X|S in the future.

Other fixes include companions being unable to jump, dialogue issues with certain characters, and problems with speaking to NPCs at camp, among others. For a detailed look at all the changes, take a look at the full patch notes.
