The latest Call of Duty DLC bundle has arrived and it’s taking a lighthearted approach by incorporating a popular meme from the game. The “Insert Coin Mastercraft” bundle for Modern Warfare III and Warzone introduces the Arcade Rhythm submachine gun, complete with an animation that humorously references the notorious “update requires restart” prompt.

Many Call of Duty fans will undoubtedly be familiar with this frustrating prompt, and now, Activision has cleverly decided to embrace the meme and capitalize on it with the release of this DLC bundle. The animation not only features the prompt, but it also depicts the soldier impatiently mashing the A button to advance through it, followed by a display of frustration as the soldier physically expresses their irritation with the weapon. Available for 2,400 COD Points ($20), the Insert Coin Mastercraft bundle is inspired by classic arcade games. In addition to the unique animation, the weapon also boasts a green tracer effect and a distinctive kill animation where enemies disintegrate into small green blocks that harken back to the pixelated graphics of old school games.

Alongside the weapon, the bundle introduces a new Operator named High Score, sporting a gaming headset and a skateboard on their back. Dressed in multicolored pants, a red jacket, and a yellow headband, the Operator exudes an ’80s vibe. The bundle also includes the Neck Trauma finishing move, a Retro Cabinet emblem, and a weapon charm in the form of a mini arcade cabinet.

All this information was actually leaked back in December during the Season 1 update, when data miners uncovered these details.

As if that’s not enough excitement for Call of Duty fans, the new Vortex event is currently underway, featuring eerie sci-fi versions of Rust, Quarry, and Shipyard, along with a one-hit-kill Ray Gun that players are vying for control over. Exciting times indeed in the world of Call of Duty.
